CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

All players entering events via the Eightball Tasmania web site, understand that Eightball Tasmania have in place a doping policy and as such may test players for illegal substances.

Dress Code applies for all events: Dress Trousers, shirt (polo top with collar) and dress shoes. Players may be subjected to a fine or asked to leave the playing venue and obtain the correct dress standard to continue in the tournament. if these conditions are not meet.

Players who fail to complete the tournament event they are playing in, will be subject to a penalty as decided by the committee. (Non-Entry in to State Events for a period of 2 years).

Players who qualify for the open team selection round, pay an additional $20

Players who enter State events must have played 5 nights of play for a member association for Eightball Tasmania, players who are found to not qualify by this rule even after qualifying for the Tasmanian Team will be removed from the Team (All Results will stand if a tournament has been completed and the next person will be given the option to take the position in the Eightball Tasmania Team).

Players entering the State Open Singles Title are to be aware that if they win this title, they will have 50% f the prize pool held in trust to represent Tasmania at the Australian Championships, if the player does not represent, the money will be returned to Eightball Tasmania. The winner will also be required to pay a deposit to Eightball Tasmania of $250 when team deposits are called for and they cannot use the 50% held in trust for this purpose.

If you are successful in obtaining a position in the 2013 State 8Ball Team and decide to take your position in the team, you will be required to submit a medical form for exception to ASADA if you are on any medication that may be classified as illegal medication under ASADA guidelines for participating in competition sport - More details can be found on this link below - (You should consult with your Doctor who will be able to help you determine if you need to fill out this form).
